Double Disc Gate Valves for Superior Gas Isolation:
Our Double Disc Gate Valves boast a fabricated construction, catering to the isolation needs of gas/air applications. When faced with dirty media and the requirement for a high degree of isolation, our valves emerge as the preferred choice. The metal-to-metal sealing with wedging action ensures a superior degree of isolation, with hard-faced seating surfaces on both the disc and body.
Featuring a unique wedge arrangement, a small wedge fits between two-disc plates, providing flexibility for seating. Upon valve closure, the two-disc plates adjust their position to achieve perfect contact with the body seat. During opening, the disc plates collapse, allowing the disc assembly to move freely out of the bore.
The rising spindle type design ensures smooth opening and closing, with the spindle connected to a small wedge and stem nut mounted in the gearbox. The rotation of the stem nut moves the spindle up and down, facilitating the operation of the entire disc assembly. The stuffing box, situated atop the bonnet, prevents gas leakage from inside the valve to the atmosphere. Additional protection is ensured by the superstructure and protection tube, safeguarding the stem.
